Q: What is the cost per square foot of cement board siding?

Do you mean Hardy Board for exterior siding (not sure that is the correct name) or do you mean Wonder board for ceramic tile? If you are looking for a exterior siding material then I guess it would be Hardy Board and that stuff is pretty reasonable. I have painted allot of it but unfortunately I do not know much about it. I do know it sells at Home Depot and their reps. are pretty good @ giving information (usually). There are allot of good general contractors on this site I would click on one of their names and ask.

A: fiber cement siding

Fiber cement siding, Hardy plank or Certainteed brand lap siding will cost about $1-$1.25 per S.F. for material and about the same per S.F. to install It. this is only for the preprimed material not the prefinished. There are many other types of fiber cement that can look like stucco, cedar shake, and many other natural materials but the cost on these can be from $4 a S.F. and up.
