Q: How much does it approximately cost to have an exterminator get rid of the insects in my house?
I just bought a real fixer upper in a wooded area that is riddled with cockroaches, spiders, and who knows what else. How much money does it cost to get the place fumigated or whatever they need to do to get rid of them? I've already sunk a lot of money into the house and wanted to get a general idea before hiring anyone.
A: Cost of Exterminating
Hello! I am responding to your question from Killroy Pest Control (www.Killroy.com) - a Bay Area, CA pest control & termite control company that can help you exterminate anything that BUGS you.
Based on your question, it sounds like your home is in an area where pest pressure will always be present. Therefore, and ongoing maintenance plan will help keep your home and yard pest free all year round. The best way to prevent pests from entering your home is to control them in your yard and around the exterior of the house. An initial treatment for an average sized single family home (1500 sqft) is $165-$185 - for larger homes or for interior treatment the initial price may be higher, and we would provide the quote based on your specific property information and the type of pest problems around your home.
During pest control service the service technician will first provide an inspection around the home to identify the problem pests, then will sweep the spider webs with a Webster to clean the exterior of the home, and finally provide a perimeter yard treatment with a product targeted at the type of pest problem you are having. This service comes with a 60-day guarantee.
After the initial service if you would like on-going service for more complete pest control and to maintain a clean and pest free yard, we generally would recommend a bi-monthly or every-other-month service. Our every-other-month service for general pest control on an average sized home ranges from $65-$85 per service. The same 60 day guarantee applies to these services. We do offer one-time services only, but ongoing service will be the best option to fully control pests. I hope this helps answer your question, and feel free to visit our website for more information or to request service.
