Q: What size beam to replace a load bearing 2nd floor wall?

I am wanting to take out a ( what I think is a ) load bearing wall in an upstairs room to make it a loft. The wall is about 12 feet long and is an interior wall ( not any outside wall).

What is the correct beam size to replace the wall with? I was thinking of 2 2x10's nailed/glues together. Would that be strong enough for the span? I am in nor-cal. The roof is a cement tile roof.

Thanks,
Robert
