Q: Is there such a thing as stain resistant grout?


I have white tile counter tops in my kitchen and the grout is constantly being stained with tomato sauce, grape juice, soy sauce, you name it. I have been bleaching them almost daily, which can't be good for my health. Is there such a thing as stain resistant grout that could prevent these stains?

Laticrete makes a product called Spectralock or your could go with epoxy grout. Both would provide good stain protection. Sealers never hurt either. Please realize that nothing is stain PROOF only more resistant. Those who claim stain PROOF will catch you in the fine print with a list of items not covered. As long as you wipe up any spills quickly and maintain basic care your grout will continue to look good.
