A: Fixing squeaky/creaking steps
Do you have access to the stairway from below. Meaning, is the framing of the stairway exposed? If so, this can be a simple fix. Installation of blocking, fastened with glue and screwed thru the blocking and into the treads above can help alleviate those sounds. Sometimes shims, driven between the stair stringer and treads can help also.
