Q: How can I stop my carpet from snagging and pulling up?


The carpet in my condo keeps snagging my vacuum and pulling up in long strands. How can I prevent this from happening?

Try checking the bottom of your vacuum- maybe the beater bar is too powerful, and has been hooking onto the carpet. Some vacuums can actually be TOO strong, and provide added wear on carpets (Dyson vacuum cleaners, for example, provide stronger suction than other brands, and have shown to age carpeting more rapidly).
