Q: I'm having trouble getting a creak out of my plywood subflooring.
I am installing hardwood floors and just started to lay it. I have 2 rows set However in one corner of the room (no wood there yet), there is a creak, it's not just a squeak, but it creaks when I walk over there. It looks like it may be the edges of the plywood rubbing (because it seems to be that piece of plywood, but I can't seem to get it to stop. I have tried screwing down everything on the joists and it still creaks. It didn't really do that before I went to lay the wood. Any ideas what I can do to make it stop?
