Q: I have a corner fireplace in my existing master bedroom but want to remodel and put my master bedroom where my existing porch off master is. If I do
That, firplace would serve the new sitting area of the master and could be seen from the master bath, but could no longer be viewed from the bed. Do you think that would seem odd to potential buyers and affect my home's resale value? Do you know of instances where that has been done? Except for this issue, the new floor plan would be beautiful and would greatly improve my master "suite". The new addition would be very nice and the view into the backyard would be really nice. I do not want to tear out the fireplace because it is really pretty; and to "re-shape" it is very very expensive.
