Q: 2nd story deck resurfacing
I would like to rebuild the surface on the second story deck.Should i use treated plywood?
Over the plywood i have to install concrete board and tile.My question is what material can i use to seal the plywood and what size of nails i should use?
I am living in Florida by the coast.
A: 2nd Story deck resurfacing reply
If you prep the decking (the plywood) properly, it will not matter. But, you can do so as a precaution.
Take the deck boards off, add your plywood, use the appropriate membrane or underlayment and flash the surface of the roof to any wall intersections, as needed. Then tile!. Good Luck!
